Reaping what you sow

“Patience, because what gardening teaches us is that if you plant things, they’ll come up. But you have to be willing to wait for them to bear fruit because things are seasonal.” -Alice Walker

In this time of planting, this message definitely resonates.  People aren’t supportive of my writing.  They are not supportive of my art.  They love other people’s art and books, but they don’t see the struggle that comes with being a productive artist or writer.  You have to find or create an audience for your work.  I don’t care what kind of art you are doing, it is always the road less travelled.  The best thing about any artist is their uniqueness.  The hardest thing about being an artist is being visible until people notice you are there and appreciate you.

I’m here.
